The OC Jets re-new their rivalry with the Riverside Raiders this Sunday, March 15 in Round 2 of the 2009 SCAFL Metro comp. One of the founders and original members of the Inland Empire Eagles, Deron Lien, came up with the idea to memorialize the longstanding rivalry with Orange County. The Jon Egan Cup, named for Jon Egan who first coached the Eagles and then coached the Bombers in 2001, will be awarded to the victor on Sunday. The Jets have been fortunate to win all three battles for the Cup in 2008 and are looking to keep it in the first match-up with the Riverside boys in 2009.
Round 2 will be held at Northside Park in Azusa (601 West 11th Street, Azusa, CA 91702). Here's a google map link: http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=northside+park+azusa&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
