In a replay of the 2007 Grand Final, the OC Jets and the Beachside Sharks will face off once again. The Jets have lost the last two Grand Finals by small margins, including last year’s heartbreaker against the Sharks, so they will be keen to win this one. Meanwhile the Sharks will want to hold onto the cup, and have the added incentive of it being the farewell game of their founding president, Adam Howarth.

The Sharks hold a 2-1 advantage over the Jets this season, and both teams have the same win/loss ratio for the season at 7-2. It all adds up to what should be another classic SCAFL Grand Final, and a fitting way to wrap up the local competition before the players set their sights on Nationals.

Right after the GF, the battle for third place will commence with the vastly improved Riverside Raiders up against the LA Swans. The Raiders finished the season strongly with big wins over the Sharks and the Swans, but the LA boys won’t want to lose this one so it too should be a beauty.
